The Ocean City BoardwalkList Item 2
The Ocean City Boardwalk has its origins in 1902, when a group of hoteliers saw the need for a convenient path for both themselves and their guests to stroll between their businesses. The early version was a wooden walkway that could be taken up at high tide and stored on hotel porches.
Initially, it stretched for just five blocks but was extended to 15th Street in the following decade. After the destructive storm of 1962, the boardwalk was rebuilt to its current length, extending from the inlet to 27th Street, ending near the Dunes Manor Hotel.
In 2012, a major renovation of the boardwalk took place, replacing the old, worn boards with fresh wood, while still preserving the nostalgic charm of its historic design.

Ocean City BeachList Item 3
Ocean City, Maryland, is home to a breathtaking 10-mile stretch of unspoiled Atlantic coastline. This vast, smooth sandy beach is the very essence of the town.
While the sand and water remain equally beautiful throughout, each area offers a unique vibe when it comes to the land and the crowds. The beaches in the downtown area tend to be the most crowded, thanks to the bustling boardwalk and the high number of nearby accommodations. As you head north, the crowds thin out, and you'll find more condo rental options to enjoy.
